Anna Bûlow

Anna Bûlow

Anna Bülow (1975) is a Swedish artist, illustrator and graphic designer living and working in Norway.

Anna creates original paintings and art prints and she is represented in design stores around the world.
”At a first glimpse at my work it might look like I’m honoring ”the perfect”. But it’s actually the opposite – The beauty I search for has nothing to do with today’s hunt for fitting into a sertain shape or form. My faces are simply tools in a study of communication, balance and content.”
The beauty of taking life serious. To dare to be vulnerable. Feminism. The silent communication between people – these are some of Anna’s creative triggers and recurring ingredients in her work. She is not afraid of looking deep into our emotional life in search of inspiration. Her work is filled with symbols and each piece hides and reveals multiple layers of stories.
”My art are stories from life. Moments that I need to remember. Moments that I can’t forget.»
After painting for over 20 years, experimenting and testing different expressions, Anna’s artistry is now in the landscape between the abstract and figurative art. The combination of the two gives her work a contemporary yet timeless feel. Her use of colours are subtle and restrained, but still with great expression.
Anna’s work is appreciated all over the world and can be found in selected interior design stores and galleries. It is frequently used in projects by leading interior designers, architects and stylists.
